Earby and District Local History Society was founded in 1995, by six local history enthusiasts. The society has now grown to over 100 members.
Our aims are to raise awareness and interest in the history of the Ancient Parish of Thornton-in-Craven, of which Earby was a part. We aim to facilitate research into the heritage of Earby and District, including Thornton-in-Craven, Kelbrook, Hague, Harden and Salterforth.

Join us at our monthly meetings for an update of society news, future events, become a member and listen to talks on a historical subject usually with local interest.

The society has a large archive of local material including books, newspaper transcripts, documents and photographs which are available for research purposes by arrangement.
